August 3, 2018 was our departure day to Manila, Philippines. At 12.55 pm we took off to Kuala Lumpur. So, how was it going?

On August 3rd 2018, I prepared myself to go to the airport. It’s departure day! OMG, I’m so excited. It was actually my first time to go abroad, out of Indonesia. There were three of us from State University of Makassar (UNM) who were assigned to Far Eastern University in Philippines, joining this SEA Teacher 6th Batch project. I'm Yola Ivonny Harianto and two of my friends, they were Nurkhalisha and Siti Hardiyanti Triana. Our flight was on 12.55 pm Indonesian middle time. It was a little bit hard to leave Indonesia, because we knew that it would be the challenging one month in another country. When I entered the immigration office in Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport Makassar, I should leave some of my stuffs because it will be over cabin if I brought it all. I thought it was better than I must pay 800,000 rupiahs, lol. Then, we continued our flight and arrived at Kuala Lumpur around 14.00 pm, Kuala Lumpur time. I was amazed that Kuala Lumpur has such a big airport, and it made us a little bit tired to walk to the next check in place. After waiting for about six hours while getting lunch and rest at Mc Donald’s, we continued our flight to Manila on 21.30 pm after running maybe for about 1-2 kilometers to reach the gate Q13 before our departure time. It was super tiring day in KLIA2 since we were running back and forth to make sure our cabin weren’t over 7kgs, for your information KL has a strict regulation about cabin’s weight. We have to pay 50 ringgits per kilogram (which means around 150,000 rupiahs). The next flight took about four hours to arrive in Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila. We waited for about 6 hours until we were picked up by Mrs. Sybil and Mr. Joseph from Far Eastern University and they took us to get breakfast before going to Mall of Asia to buy sim card. Then, after strolling around the Mall, we continued to go to our dormitory because we were so tired.

Actually, it was not the end of that 4th August journey. While we were sleeping tight, Mrs.Sybil came back again to our dormitory with vice president of FEU. Apparently, Mrs. Sybil felt not comfortable with the dorm conditions, so she told her vice president to displace us to another better place. And, yeah we lived the new dorm which actually is a hotel but with the group stuff inside. It was bigger and more comfy. Thanks for Far Eastern University that already given us these very well hospitalities.
A day after August 4, it was just about went to the Mercury Drugs and Save More to buy some stuffs that we needed, such as rice, plate, spoon, glass, etc. Then, because we were still so tired since it was the long trip from Indonesia to Philippines, we decided to just stay at dorm and got sleep!
