On the first week, I observed how General Physics 1 teacher conducting the learning process. These are some results.
PLANNING FOR TEACHING
Before conducting the teaching and learning, teacher makes a planning about the learning strategy that will be used to achieve the learning objectives and the topic that will be discussed to the students.
PREPARING LESSONS AND MATERIALS
Before conducting the learning process, teacher should prepare the materials. Actually, they already given a module and power point presentation as their preparation, but they will also prepare another requirements belongs to the topic they will discussed to students.
TEACHING IN CLASS
On the learning process in the classroom, teacher discusses the topic based on the power point presentation and the contents of the module that is already given to the teacher. Teacher will discuss the lesson first, after that giving the sample problem belongs to the topic, and then ask students to solve some problems on their notebook and then they will be given an extra point (for example for the first five students whose give the correct answer) . After that, teacher will give the conclusion of the topic that already discussed.
MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION
During the learning process, teacher will observe the students participations in classroom, such as by giving them the extra point after successfully answering the question, etc. Teacher sometimes give the students quiz, or give them the unit test after completing every unit. Then, teacher will evaluate also by the midterm and final examination results of the students.
