Pedagogical Contents

These are some points of school pedagogical contents in Far Eastern University High School based on the observation in the first week.

My Physics cooperating teacher, Ms.Quimson, was teaching about projectile motion topic.

TEACHING METHODS

Teaching method that is used in FEU High School mostly is the lecture method especially for General Physics 1 subject, since time allocation for each section only takes 75 minutes, so teacher will only use this method to achieve their learning objectives.

LEARNING MATERIALS AND INNOVATION

FEU High School doesn’t use any textbook as the learning material in the classroom. Teacher will only show the power point presentation and explain it to them, teachers also will be given a module as their source of learning material. In FEU High School, it has CANVAS as the application that will be used by teachers and students to give and get the informations about the lesson, such as giving and collecting tasks, conducting the examinations, etc.

SOURCES OF LEARNING AND TECHNOLOGY

Power point presentation and explanation by teachers will become the source of learning for students, because they don’t use any textbook. While, the source of material for teacher is from module. FEU High School uses an application that is called CANVAS to make teachers and students are easier to have an access even they are not in classroom.

These are some authentic assessments used in FEUHS :

1. Quiz/Unit test

2. Midterm test

3. Final Examination

Midterm examination is conducted in 11th grade.
